WHAT IS OUR DESIGN PROCESS?
We get that you're busy and have a lot of other priorities on your plate. Working with ASHLEY RAJAGOPAL HOME means you are signing up for a bespoke, timeless design combined with a cohesive strategic plan, clear deliverables and timelines, consistent communication, and creative solutions for any problem that might arise. We think designing a home should be creative, full of ease, and even fun! To avoid headaches and hoops to jump through, we break our process down into seven steps:

UNDERSTAND OUR SERVICES AND PRICES
You can start the process right away by requesting our Investment Guide. This will provide a quick look at how we work, as well as an introduction to our services and prices. The Investment Guide will include a link to schedule a 90-minute program planning consultation at your convenience. Once you have scheduled the consultation, we’ll send you some fun homework (aka, a design questionnaire so that we’re on the same page before we meet. We’re excited to work with you!

PROGRAM PLANNING
Our initial program planning meeting is 90-minutes, either in person (King County) or online. We'll use this time to deep dive into your project goals, budget, and design aesthetic. You’ll show us all the ideas and spaces you want to transform, and we’ll go over any additional questions & details. Afterwards, we’ll send over a proposal with our recommended approach to your project, including a breakdown of the estimated cost of the project. When you are ready to get started, you can sign our Letter of Agreement and we’ll get to work!

DESIGN STORYBOARD
This is where we get into the heart of the design work. We’ll schedule a time to come to your home to take detailed measurements and begin drafting 2D renderings of your existing space. We’ll use the information you provided us in the program planning phase to craft your custom design storyboard. Your design storyboard is an introduction to the design aesthetic for your project. It includes a design concept statement and story, mood board, and 2D floor plans. We'll also share a draft budget that breaks down target pricing for your fixtures, finishes and furnishings. We will review this together to make sure that we are aligned before we get to work selecting your furniture, fixtures and finishes.

PRELIMINARY DESIGN
Once we're aligned on your Design Storyboard, we'll schedule a follow-up meeting (or multiple, depending on the scope of the project) to deep dive into our proposed designs for your home. We will also coordinate a shopping trip so that we can try our materials in person. We'll collaborate with you to refine and perfect these ideas with subsequent revisions to achieve a design that meets all of your needs and preferences.

FINAL DESIGN
Once we've finalized the design, you will receive a finalized design presentation that includes all detailed drawings, furnishing, fixture, and finish selections with pricing. This way, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of the project before we move forward with design implementation.

DESIGN IMPLEMENTATION
& PROJECT MANAGMENT
We'll take care of all the details involved in finalizing orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring your project moves forward on budget and on time. If undergoing construction, we'll work with all trades involved to ensure that the design is executed according to the design plan and meets your expectations. Once all of your furniture is ready to go, we will schedule a white glove installation day so that you can come home to the joy of a new space that reflects your personal story.

WALKTHROUGH AND PHOTOGRAPHY
Once the project is complete, we'll do a final walkthrough of the space together to ensure everything meets your expectations. Any remaining deficiencies will be resolved before we say our goodbyes. We'll then arrange for professional photography, so you can showcase your beautiful new space.
